Saturday night is not for romance…

The weekend is HERE!  Unfortunately for me I cannot really enjoy it because I have an exorbitant amount of homework to do, but that does not mean that you cannot enjoy it!

So, here’s the scoop of the weekend:  Tonight (Saturday 2/13) Guttermouth @ the Aggie, $12 cover; Dan Craig @ Everyday Joe’s, $5; Post Paradise/Common Anomaly @ Hodi’s, $5 21+/$10 all; Magic Cyclops @ Road, $5, 21+.  Of course there is more happening, but these are what I recommend.

Other evening activities could include: open mic at Pulcinella on Drake and Shields, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Lincoln Center (side note: I was in that play in junior high so it holds a soft spot in my heart).  Or if you are in the mood to be a homebody, as I often am (there’s nothing wrong with that every once in awhile), a good game of Scrabble works too.

On another side note… I got kicked out of Lucky Joe’s when I went there to see  Glovetrucker the other night for not being old enough… I cannot wait until I won’t be discriminated against at shows… two more months.

I was at the Hodi’s show last night to see Common Anomaly and Post Paradise, and both bands were really terrific last night – as good as I’ve ever heard them play. It was a great show, and a pretty full house as well. Lots of fun. If you missed it, be sure and catch them sometime soon!
