You know those awesomely talented singers who start out in top-tier church choirs? One of them will be here for show on the patio stage, and we can’t wait. It’s a lovely voice Bev Barber has, ranging from winsome to sultry, with side trips to a myriad of other emotional tonalities perfect for blues and modern soft rock. When asked to define their style, Barber and guitarist Chris Sheafor will probably say, “Songs we like.” “Close to the heart” is another phrase they use to describe their music. Also playing are folk, country, blues and soul artists Seth Bernard and “Daisy” May Erlewine.
